New Project

Update

Well today did a second coat of polyshades like I said I would do yesterday and tweaked a bit with draining and filling pipes to add a planted tank to help with the nitrates the tank is old so don't know what brand is it to see if I can drill it. The Sunlight don't give any justice to the shine of the stand tho. The wife loves the rich color.

Wow

Wow! Navy shadow boxes are getting bigger all the time. Seriously you really did a great job on that stand from scratch. Way better piece of furniture then I could build from scratch Ill tell you that, and love the wood trim designs and finish.

Wow if that is my Shadow box I wanna see the flag flag for it. Maybe a 20' X 30' or so.

Thanks Gunner.

More updates

Well today I did some piping and testing for the overflow. Pics attached. Well I know there's a lot of DIY'ers here so Here another trick. If you seen the DIY Network the Yard Crashers Show X-mas Edition they showed a machine that heats up PVC to change the shape of the PVC and do figures with it. So same concept but slight different. Took some pot with boiling water dipped the PVC on it about 1" or so for about 30 to 40 sec's and pliers and closed the ends to make nozzles for the tanks return pipes. Cheap and easy.

Today I apply the Fusion paint to the pipes that will be visible and started applying backgrounds to the tanks. Probably will be bringing it inside on the weekend.

Well yesterday was a long day securing all the piping finally. I tell you what it was tedious job so many joints to glue and making sure they were in the right order to do was crazy tiring. I got the piping painted with plastic paint and most of it ready to bring it inside. Hopefully today or tomorrow can bring it in.

Is inside

Well folks the big monster is finally inside the house in place. Took some Egyptian ideas but Me and my wife made it to inside the house same and sound without scratches or dents.
