Thanks Damo. The specimen is a neolamp. brichardi aka "Princess" cichlid. Lake Tang native with lots of personality. One of the two in the setup.
Kribs in the riverine = great suggestion! Sadly, I have learned my lesson and will probably leave the bowfront as a specimen tank for the bichir only. He can not overcome his natural instinct to chow down on anything that can fit in his mouth.
Quick update on the nerites in the Tang rift: I can not believe how clean they keep the holey rock and granite! I never had any real algae problems to begin with, but after 7 days I would usually need to do a light scrubbing of some green. No longer! Everything clean as a whistle. In fact, I was concerned they didn't have enough to eat and am now running the lights longer to help feed them.
LOL If you only knew what was coming. Might be a bit before new photos hit but it will certainly be an "update"... in the meantime I really could use a great secretary.
