New Shrimps

he was fanning and eating.. but who knows what mightve happened.. Im starting to suspect that im never going to have any luck with inverts and co2/fert injected tank..

He must have just died for no reason, probably stress during shipping. Hopefully the other one has better luck. I have been keeping a bamboo shrimp in a CO2/Flourish tank for the past month now, so it isn't impossible. In fact, he fans from the powerhead that diffuses the little bubbles that didn't get dissolved in the Hagen ladder.

Awesome looking shrimp! I love vampire shrimp, I've always wanted one but the ones I've seen at the LFS are always over priced. Sorry about the one. :( Are you feeding them anything extra or are they just filtering whats in the tank right now?

Awe BK. You just ruined your tank with those. lol. No but seriously, it was ruined way before that...jk

:lol:Haha, they look good though. I have one as well but I never see him. They are definitely beastly looking...and your tank really does look good.:silly:

bk your tank is an invert cemetery! sorry for your loss. of my 8 bamboo shrimp im down to 4... they just dissappear over time. it has been several months though and the ones that are left are always eating/pooping. i can only hope they last. good luck with yours.

I have 2 off these Vampires and one red wood shrimp and they make amazing additions to the tank.... Mine live with catfish and sharks and have never caused me the slightest trouble.... My Wood Shrimp floats upside filtering away all day long my water is so crystal clear ..... Great Chaps....

Well done... I find these guys to be pretty hardy and will eat pretty much anything.... Really love grabbing the odd bloodworm...
