New snails with pics

Quick question about the water line... they're in a 5.5g right now. If I drop the waterline 3 inches, a good percentage of the water would be gone from the tank. Also, my AC would be like a waterfall. Is that a problem?

You need to drop the water line as much as the females shell diameter for her to lay.
