it wasnt propperly cycled because of lack of space to have two very large aquariums set up at the same time. it was a very difficult arangement and i did the very best i could to make things as smooth as i could concidering the conditions. i didnt really post for fanatical *******s to sling mud at me though, i just wanted to share some pictures and ask a couple questions. i do understand a good portion of how things work and i do my best to follow any guidelines i can manage to follow. my fish have started growing pretty well and in trying to be somewhat of a good care-taker, i upgraded to something that would support their adult sizes. yes, i could have thought a little more into the whole situation before starting the original tank, sure. but i didnt... that was my bad. doing the best i could to correct for the original bad judgements was to drop somewhere around $1000 to acomidate my friends and do all i could to get things switched over w/o doing anything i knew would seriously hurt anyone.
i work seasonaly and am currently unemployed, so its not like i just yanked $800 for a new tank setup out of my sock, and another $200 or so for structure and filtration/heat out of my hat.
so anyways, if youre going to give me a detailed step by step instruction sheet here, go ahead and ill try to live up to your standards next time, but i did everything i could this go-round.
thanks for pointing and laughing, have a great day,
~KM
