so ive decided that im bored with my mbuna in my 100 gallon. i want to turn it into a planted discus tank. i was thinking 6 discus, 20-30 tetras, and maybe something else. but was wondering, how many discus could you put into a 100 gal.?

also, i am gonna buy a breeding pair and turn a 55 gallon in my garage into a breeding tank. is this a good idea?
 
If you are getting a breeding pair right from the start...put them in the 55.

For the main tank 5-7 depending on their size, just keep room elswhere for a mated pair to be placed.
 
thanx i am gonna put the pair in the 55 gal when i get them. could i put the fry in rubbermaid tubs afterward?
 
i meant after a week or 2 cause i heard if you leave em in to long the parents will start getting hurt
 
where could i get a 50 gallon rubbermaid tub?
 
You might as well have an indoor fish pond if you're going to buy a 50 gallon tub to put fish in. I don't think you need something that big, do you?
