If I added live plants to my tank any suggestions?
Hygrophila, vallisnerias, Nymphaea, cabombas, hornworts, elodea, Java moss and Java ferns should be a good start.

Be very careful in selecting your plants. Some petstores sell terrestrial plants disguised as aquatic plants and they will rot when submerged over a long time. Dracaena is the most popular example of false aquatic plant.

ok I have a question my white/silver molly for some reason seems like he swims or his body goes vertical and when he swims his back end goes down. I was wondering if something is wrong or why that happens? If anyone can answer or contribute I would really appreciate it thanks in advance.

Well I wanted to go with a salt tank but I figured to stick with freshwater so not really sure what fish excite me

go to your LFS and just wander around looking at fish. find one or two you really like and then you can come back and get recommendations on other fish to go with them.

also - go ahead and start your tank cycling...it will take a little while.

I need to replace my light. It was 40 watt bulb trying to decide what to replace it with incandescent or fluoroescent bulb? any suggestions thanks in advance

Fluorescent every time. With incadescents you'd boil the fish before getting decent light intensity.

thanks karl I remembered about one would do that I just couldnt remember what one and now i know it was incadescent thanks

where should i get the bulb from a LFS or doesnt matter I have box of 32 watt bulb in my garage for multi purpose
