Hello everyone, I have been wanting to get a fish tank for a while and have a 46 gallon bowfront, this is my idea for stocking and setup. would this be viable?

Equipments:

Tank (LxDxH): 36 x 15 x 20 inch (46.8gUS)
Filters: Aquaclear 110

Selected species:

2 x Pearl Gourami
1 x African Butterfly Fish
2 x Honduran Red Point
5 x Cherry Barb
3 x Pictus Catfish
3 x Kuhli Loach

The cherry barbs might end up as snacks, and you will want a tight fighting lid or a bunch of floating plants for the African butterfly. I'd go with either the kuhli loaches or the cats--they'll occupy mostly the same space, and loaches might get eaten by the cats. Pictus cats are VERY predatory. If you're getting pairs in hopes of breeding, keep that in mind. Also keep in mind that most cichlids become murderous when they are breeding, so everything in there will need hiding spots.

Might do to review water temps and chemistry from them as well--if they're wild caught animals, that will matter, if they're farmed, not as much an issue.

Okay so no kuhli and no barbs, I still want a schooling fish though, preferably over an inch.

Cherry barbs don't get much over an inch, hence the reason they might be snacks. Something like emperor tetras, diamond tetras, or some of the large barbs would work. Odessa barbs are lovely, and reach a decent size.

oh ok, would dwarf neon rainbowfish work possibly? (Melanotaenia praecox)

Possibly on the smaller end of what I'd pick.

I'd also drop the gouramies, and have a bigger school. They'll be happier,

ok so drop the gouramis add 3 more rainbowfish

I just realized you were in the Poconos, I used to live up there.

I really like endlers instead of rainbows, but I feel like they would be bait right?

Endlers would be eaten by the handful. They'd possible be able to out breed the predators, but it would be a crapshoot.
