Not only do most species of Knifefish get very large, but due to their temperament and living habits should usually be kept in tanks by themselves.
you are sooo Wrong. Most knives get large yes. but they are usually harmless. my ghosts *(12 of them) never have eaten any other fish and wouldnt harm them. Most are a peaceful species requiring more room them most. I dont see what would lead you to think that they are harmful or mean. they dont belong in a tank by themselves. many can and live well with all speces including cichlids and others. Anyone has questions about knives. Let me know.

True but some stores are saying they only match petsmart.com prices (i got lucky at my petsmart, they matched bigals). I guess it depends on the management at certain stores. The girl at the register didnt even look at where my price was from, she just called over the manager to unlock the register and scanned the barcode and that was it.

Aren't ghost knives very solitary by nature? Not the most social bunch? They are peaceful but they're also nocturnal- wouldn't that tend to disturb some other members of the tank?

hmm

the petsmart fish stuff is back up, say as it was previously.
