I decided to do something a little fun today, and the kids had yummy stuffed portabella mushrooms!
This is my reverse trio of Home's Hingeback tortoises. They are odd little forest floor tortoises that come from the rainforest margins along rivers and streams. They are semi aquatic and more like box turtles in their needs than grassland, arid or Mediterranean torts.
This is my most outgoing male, Homer. (He is also pictured on my Profile page

And Elmer, a bit shyer than Homer, but more outgoing than my female.
Homer decided to eat the portabella first. Yum Yum. Down in front is my shy girl, Maude.

Our stuffing today was a delicatessen mixture of the sliced stems of the portabellas, broad leaf plantain, rose buds, cilantro, sliced zuchinni, nettle leaf, red raspberry leaf, red clover flowers and leaves, apple, pear, and bananna, with butternut squash and topped with cooked deviened shrimp
