Octopus tank (log)

i mainly use silver sides as food along with an occasional prawn or two. i want to see some pics of pickles to! :) the aquarium i picked has a built it wet/dry filter (i still use bio balls) and a prefilter. i have the lid weighted so he cant lift it and the only other way out is the overflow that i have sealed with some netting. where did you get pickles?
thats cool! i got him from my work. well i dont wana steal your thread so here is a link about mine!

his size still surprises me. since i took those videos a clay salt shaker(no salt of corse) PVC pipes and marbles have been added to the tank. he has show little interest in the marbles but last night he explored the pipes and shaker.

im a little worried because he is not eating as much as he used to. this might just be because he is sick of fish(or hes stopped growing like a weed). iv been pretty lazy with the variety but tommarow my dads going out to see about getting some shimp or a different type of scallop(he didn't like the last kind). hes also been less active during the day :( maybe because hes eating less. hes still just as active at night as far as i can tell. all of the parameters are normal.

he percs up and changes color a bit but that about all the response iv been getting for the past 3 or 4 days when i put my hand to the glass.

[edit] i think i found part of the problem. lately my rooms been in the low 60's and the heater couldn't keep up. the temp in the tank is 4-5 degrees lower than normal. the last couple days i was measuring the temp a little to close to the heater not paying attention. in colder water octos metabolism slow down and they get less active. im slowly raising them and if temp was the problem he should be fine by tommarow or the day after. iv got the heater running in my room now.
