Ok, Here is the deal, I told another member of this forum off in a matter of speaking for a post in a thread that I started that was off topic, but I shouldnt have. I hastily posted the remark based on personl feelings about a particular subject. For that I apologize, Im not going to mention the n ame of the person, but I apologize for that.

In the same thread I was told off, called names, and generally insulted because I was a bit harsh, maybe I had it coming, maybe I didnt. I have been a member of this forum for a couple of years now, and have seen alot of changes. This is probably my favorite site on the net, but this is probably my last post on this forum. It seems that I cannot make a post that dosent offend someone some how, ir start a heated debate, even over a stocking and set up question. I will still visit the forum, but probaly will never post anything else.
To all those whom I offended once again apologize.
 
Hey, dude, I understand what you're going through! Happened to me before on various forums.
 
It has happened to me also but you just got to go on. There is a lot of good people on this forum,don't let one person steel your joy.
 
If you have been here for a couple years then you know the period of time we went through before Neo and his crew took over. You know how horrible posts were to others, newbs coming here for help were pretty much told they were complete idiots, ppl were told off like crazy and it was really very sad...I think when the site was revised they were worried about ppl being so mean that it would drive ppl away, and for a while I was worried about what direction the site was going at first b/c it seemed if you said ANYTHING negative the thread was closed or post deleted or something like that. It has come a long way from that overly strict start, but I believe it was done for a reason. I have know idea what the subject matter was...but if what you said made you feel bad enough to post a apology then you know you most likely took it to far, and have stepped up to apologize...which is the right thing. I would say never posting again may be a little much, just watch how you word things, I think ppl need to be let known if they are doing something wrong...but it's all in the words you choose as to how ppl will take it. You apologized, I'm sure the person will appreciate that..just be careful of your personal feelings, we have all been there and posted things in hast that we may of regretted later as long as it isn't the norm and you learn from your mistake that is what matters, we are all human here...and forgiveness is part of that.

Take it easy, cool off, and repost!!!

That is the truth Lady G..

rws I don't think it will benefit you or anyone else if you leave the forums. I know the post you speak of, and yes while you may have been a little overboard in your response I don't believe its a reason to leave the boards. The mods jumped in to keep the post on track before things got out of hand as is their job. But I think that you will harm yourself and your pets more by not being a part of this group.

I've been there, in a game thread, posted things instead of thinking things out, hurt others feelings. It tore me up, bad. Trust me when I say that I respect what you do for a living, it is not everyone that can dedicate their lives to seeing to it that others are fed. I also live in the Midwest and come from farming stock and know what kind of dedication it takes to get up every morning when you'd rather be in bed to check on your livestock, milk, etc etc etc.

So I hope that you decide to stay and continue to be a part of AC. Because quite honestly there is no AC without you and others like you.
 
Well thank you all. I have decided not to leave, and was probably being a bit of a baby about things. I just didnt see the need to make a certain comment in my thread so i addressed it, rather harshly I might add. By gones are by gones, I m not going to worry about it. Im not sure If i could actually leave this forum, I love this place, lol
 
awww I am so sorry you got hurt, and others to. some times we do not think about the face or the heart behind the screen. I am so sorry for you all, heck some times I feel like a class a fool for all the questions I ask. I even have to have visual becuase I do not quit understand. ( for those of you who answer my questions I do need visual please :LOL: ) I say its ok, do not let any one tear you down, I love your posts, and i fact come across only a few who tend to talk down to me. but I see it as it is and move on to other threads :) Have a wonderful day !!

It's funny how something as in-personal as a comment on the internet can sometimes have such a strong effect on us personally. I think we've all been through it.

But don't take anything at a personal level. Opinions are just that... opinions. It was great that you decided to apologize, even though you still aren't sure whether the comments made to you after your little splurge were really necessary or justifyable. It shows maturity.

We're all glad you decided to stick around.
 
I am glad you are going to stay, I think sometimes its hard when people are mean, I have been on that end. But there are many more nice people here who really want this site to be friendly and nice.
