Ogre's Tank - almost here

yup I'd put the big castle in the centre, the small one closer to the middle than it is and the rock as you describe. I'd also add some more rocks, a nice piece of driftwood and some more plants, taller at the back, shorter at the front

but looking nice Ogre well done !
Thanks

I'm almost afraid to add more plants. I really don't have the lights for it. And I really don't want to get into CO2 injection right now.

My lights are 2 36watt 50/50 Smartlamps by oddyssea. So I've got about one watt per gallon and a deep tank. The swords are doing freaking awesome though. Check out the first pics, then this one. They've doubled in size.

OK, small 10% WC (just cause it was a chance to get under everything). ANd a rearrangement of the decor.

Now everyone is POed and stressed cause everything is different. So we all enjoy the same amount of confusion.

let me know what you think about the updated arrangement.

OMG, when I saw the centerpiece, I thought it looked like a castle and the first thing that came to mind was Borat saying, "king of the castle, king of the castle." LOL

:)

Nice fish pics but im not sure about the castle or marbles I think you should go for some real rocks and driftwood to give it a more natural look to enhance the beautiful fish you have

Update

I had to get rid of my male gold gourami. He was terrorizing the females. The tank is already much calmer with him gone. Shame, he was such a pretty fish.

I've added 4 more otos. I'm up to six. Now, I'm seeing them school... which is pretty cool.

The intestinal parasite issue is gone. However, I have a green water issue. I haven't done anything different to the tank. I went away for two days and the tank was perfect. I come back and it's severely green. I've shut down the lights to only a few hours a day. I also added an aquaclear 20 powerhead with a micron filter. It's cleaned up some, but I'm afraid it will never get back to the perfectly clear water I had.

Why is it always good news / bad news? I come back from my workshop and Lexie has taken good care of my tank.

Good News - the algae bloom is over and the tank is clear as a bell.

Bad News - one of the gold gouramis died. No obvious injuries, but I'm thinking stress related.

I had already taken the male gold out, but maybe it was too much for her. The final gold is doing quite well.

Current Aquarium Status:
55 gallons with xP3 and an Aquaclear 20 Powerhead with as polish filter on it.
8 Neon Tetras
6 Otocinclus catfish
5 spotted corydoras catfish
3 Zebra Danios
2 male paradise fish
1 female gold gourami

Lightly planted with swords, anacris (sp?) and some grasses.

nice pics. sry about the gold gourami.:(
