Ogre's Tank - almost here

Update!

I've just bought 3 otos for the tank. They seem to be settling in nicely.

I'm sorry guys, I really doubted how quickly they could eat algae. The three of them have already cleaned a leaf each... in about an hour. No one is bothering them and they seem to be very happy. Pics when I turn the lights on tomorrow.

NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When we went to the LFS for the otos (and more plants), my son and wife saw cichlids for the first time. They both fell in love. So as soon as I can afford it, they (ahem, I) get a cichlid tank. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

Congrats on the tank setup, and to the cichlid tank on the way!

Your cories look a lot like peppered cories to me, either way, they stil look good and healthy.

Keep us up to date with the gourami situation, i'm very interested.

Love them cory!

Here are pics of my Otos. Someone take a look... I'm pretty sure they are otos, but they seem pretty big. I don't want them to be CAEs or anything like that.

They seem to be moving around ALOT. There's algae on the plants, but they don't seem to be going for it too much. The tank walls are already clean (in 12 hours or so).

When should I be worried about them not finding enough to eat?

how the paradise gouramis doing? I have one also and he rules my tank. I also saw a pretty cool variation of one at my LFS last Monday. It was a black paradise with a solid black body with violet fins and stripes. good luck with your tank!

DUDE! Send me a pic of those things. I want some!!!!!!

I added 3 gold gouramis today. 1 male and 2 females. Pics when they settle.

Oh yeah, my two are doing great. Uno, the larger thinks he rules the tank... but no one else really cares. Dues, the smaller, tries to rule whenever Uno isn't around, but no one else cares. It's very funnyo to see both paradieses flaring in front of three cories who totally ignore them. I think it makes the paradises mad ;)
