oh boy paludarium experiment #2

Picked up 8 beautiful little Danionella translucida today from Frank... They're awesome. Really lively. They have huge eyes.

One of them was wigging out when I got it, and seems to now have vanished. I've really looked around a lot. Can't find him. The others are doing great so far.

sorry for the crappy pics... the best my iPhone can do. I'll post some proper photos in the next week.

2 weeks of growth comparison

two pictures tonight, the first is from the day I planted the HC, feb26, 2 weeks ago. the second is just now. this is with only minute additions of ferts, no co2, and 2 20w spirals. Seems to me that HC likes the air a lot more than water.

I should also say that I love the little danios. they are sporadic and social. very active.

but I have to say, this was one of the easiest tank set ups ever. the only hard part was cutting the cork straight. it went together so fast, I hope others give it a shot.
