Ok for the sump now

lol....

It worked fine for me, so unless your completely OCD and have seizures if everything is not completely straight, it shouldn't be a problem. Its only a few degrees of angle anyway, hard to tell unless you're looking for it.

LMAO!! I'm probably the furthest thing from a OCD there can be!!!!

Now for the egg create stuff, how do I cut it? This piece is HUGE! I cut it to be what 12 X 4?

Cut it the same width as the glass baffles, as it will go right on top of one of them. Heightwise, you probably only need 2" or so...But as long as it still fits under the trim of the tank, any height is fine.

I cut mine with heavy tin snips, and wire cutters will work as well. Needlenose pliers can make do also; instead of cutting it, just break off the plastic to leave the piece that you want.

Ok, Thanks!!

sand it off nicely or otherwise you going to get cut by this those sharp teeth
be careful!
LOL, ok I'll have to get some sand paper now!!!

I will try and get this started sometime today...but I have to go to the store and do some other running first (BLAH!!)

Once I get a start though, I'll be back on with pics and stuff (and I'm sure more questions).:perv:

WOOO-WHOOOO!!! My skimmer came today, I went into work for a minute came home and there it was! Now it is going to drive me nuts cause I want to start this and I have other things I have to get done first...then I have to go back into work for the night:angryfire:

Well, we are having supper and then I am going to start on the sump...so I will have some type of update before the night is over!!!

Ok, guys first OMG....the piece that goes in the middle of the three together...It they must of cut it to long or something....the others do fit after I separated them the 12 x 12s fit perfect....but the middle one when I try to put it in there and have it 1.5" from the bottom...I can't get it in there, the "rim" around the tank has a small lip and the glass is as tall as the "rim" so it is just a touch to wide, is it ok if I somehow make a grove in the rim thing to get the glass down in there, or should I take the glass back and have them re-cut it???

Depends on how patient you are.....I'd probably use a dremel and just cut a slot in the frame because I'm impatient. The proper way would be to just get an inch or so taken off the glass though.

So it would be ok if I just cut the slot....cause if so that is what I will do, I'd rather just do that and get going on this then wait another day or two or however long it takes them...see when I measured the tank it was from the outside which was 16.5 well on the inside it is only 15 to the rim...:duh:

OK, well....I am going to have to take the glass in and have it cut again...the frame around the top is making it impossible to fit, it will go in...but I can't get it to go up!!!

I have the piece in with the grate...and the first piece on the other side that is as far as I can go for now..

BTW, how the heck do I get all this silicone off my fingers?????????
