Okay... So I'm Doing Tangs...

I personally think the cyps would be fine as long as you overfilter... but I have been wrong before

I agree with you. But I may be wrong too.

Oooppss came home from work today my largest Occie was dead on the sand bed but the rest are staying close to their shells so in theory my gold head comp is a occie killer man that sucks ok i took him out..

So i can say that adding Occies and Comps will add fatalities..

You are not a good scientist, Pitt! I didn't like your experiment since the very beginning.

I'm telling you this, because now I think you also had problems in your Science classes as in Math as well. Was little Susie in the Science classroom too? :evil_lol::evil_lol:

efors how did you know little Susie was in science class with me hehehe she was in gym class as well along with history, Spanish class and auto mechanics.. good times aye..

My large comp won't harm a multie but yours will kill occies for fun. Hmmm. Different fish, different personalities I guess. I only feed my tank 3-4 days a week sparingly, so he's not stuffed all the time. I guess trial and error is about the only way to see if your fish work together.

that is what I decided to do... I appreciate everyone's advice very much, but it was just too conflicted, so I decided I'd do it the old fashion way, try it out, and keep an eye on things best I can. I have room to shuffle fish around, should things deteriorate too badly. for anyone interested, I'll let you know how it goes right here.

cool deal rich_one yeah def keep us posted and show us some photos buddy.. Yep roger one was KIA and you are so true on what you said at any rate what works for one hobbyist may not for the other when it comes to aggression .. Peace..

I definitely appreciate the advice... just a bit frustrated. I have paid a deposit on these fish already, and now I am starting to feel... anxious. that's all. but I definitely appreciate and indeed solicit the advice, even if it makes me face whatever harsh realities. as long as I have been in this hobby, I have come to learn that that is simply the way it is sometimes. but man... discus were not this tough to be sure about! LOL...

No problem! If you do end up going with the cyps, and they work out, you may just convince me to try them in that tank size one day ;)

Overfiltering doesn't magically add space though, which is the biggest issue IMHO. You'll get a nice turn around, but the fish will still be cramped.

I think paracyps would be a much more suitable choice. Have you asked if you can switch the order without having to pay any more fees/deposits?
