Old Oak - My son's tank

AWESOME!!

What year is the car ????? Nice tank :)

If you want the moss to fill in the branches you'd be better off tying small amounts at the bottom of each branch. The moss is going to grow up not down so its not going to fill in as you think. Having the moss fill in from bottom to top will also give the effect of the top of the tree having dead branches at the top until it fills in giving another focal point.

Actually what I am waiting for is the moss to grow more so I have clippings to tie off to the other branches. Right now there is not enough to trim to give me a good supply to tie off to the other branches. I'm actually going for the effect of the tree having a full canopy so I have moss tied low and high but the low didn't show up real well in the photo.

Cool tank! What kind of wood is that?

The wood is all one piece of root from a cedar stump that has been dried in the sun.
