hey guys weirdest thing happen with my shrrimp, Im taking a shower and when i get out of the shower, the shrimp is sitting on the bathroom floor in a puddle, WTF!!! 1st. i didnt know shrimp could survive out of the water, well my shrimp made it from my room to the bathroom just fine. 2nd. how the hell did he get out, thye jet around so maybe he jetted out of the tank.. How can i keep him in there. They both just molted and are alot more active now. is this normal behaivior for shrimp, b/c if it is, their going back to petco. I researched and never hear of a shrimp jetting out of the tank and crwaling around. I even chased him back to my room :soda: so what should i do, and isnt hat just funny, i expect to see a beetle of bug on the floor not any of my aquariam friends.!>!

Hehehe aww he likes you so much he couldn't stand to see you leave the room! Glad you got him back in there before he dried out though

I have 7 x Amano's and have never seen anything like that. My shrimp will stay clamped onto a piece of plant even if i cut it but as soon as it starts moving to the surface (me pulling bit out!) they scarper little legs a waggin!
v funny story though and am happy for you that it all worked out for yr little buddy!

i have seen ghost shrimp jumping out of the water before, i had two of them jump out of the back and dry up, pretty nasty sight. needless to say i got a new lid and no more jumpers.
to asnwer some questions, their bamboo shrimp, and when i got to him he was pretty dry, thats why he went to the bathroom i guess, he was sencing the water sorce and saw the puddle, so he went looking for it. and i have another fish compaion in the tank with it so if it was trying to sneak a peak then i need to tell his girlfriend!!!
