OMG, I love Drs. Foster & Smith!

I love the Drs too. Perfect timing with the light sale, I've also lucked into great filter & heater sales just when I needed them.

Actually my USPS box came faster than Fed ex this time, they do go in for many boxes, 3 items, 3 shipments

Yeah, I generally get my packages quickly. Again, they're in Wisconsin, and I am also in Wisconsin. So, usually 2 days. My only problem was when I ordered frozen foods, the cold packs were still very cold and half frozen (very well packed), but the foods themselves were mostly thawed. I ordered in August or September, so it was still pretty warm when I got them. I wouldn't order frozen food until the weather is mostly freezing during the day, but then you'd probably get that with any frozen food supplier. Again, the packaging was great, I just think my timing was bad at that time, lol.

Oh, yeah, and I just checked the tracking number again. It's already delivered. I just hope it doesn't decide to rain today. Ugh. Should've checked the leave in garage option.

Yes they do! That order for my dog that I needed 2 day fed ex on......I called customer service to find out who changed my shipping method and why and not having the supplies before I left put me in a real bind, my son was dogsitting for me and she was sick. I asked to speak to a manager, when he came on the customer service rep had already explained the situation to him, I asked if they would overnight me a duplicate order since it wasn't shipped properly. They shipped the replacement order overnight, sent me a return label and I just had to return the original order once it was delivered. Worked out very nicely!

I've been very impressed with DF&S. The details are too long to go into, but a delivery problem lead me to write them with a complaint and, without being asked, they switched my delivery to Fedex Ground-only. Since then, no problems. And I've found some real bargains there: I stumbled into a half-off sale on 20lbs bags of Eco-Complete and their fixed-rate shipping was only $10. (Try getting that from anyone else when shipping 40 lbs. of rock) The Doctors get two thumbs-up from me. :thm: :thm:

Yay! It did arrive yesterday in perfect condition. Got freaked out a bit when one side of the light didn't come on, but it turned out that it wasn't pushed in all the way. Looks great! The only thing was that there was a rubber cover over the switch. Is that supposed to be left on? It was so stiff that I couldn't turn the light on, and I ended up taking it off. That's a manufacturer thing, but kinda confused...

That cover is there to protect the switch during transit. You can safely get rid of it. :)

I wondered about the rubber cover on mine too. I didn't really look at it, and tossed it on the tank. It made it feel like a push in, on/off thing. I finally figured it out. And took the cover off.
Then my brother got his going, and used the brackets(legs) on his. You have to remove the rubber to get those on.

Drs.F&S is known as Dr's or Fosters around this house. ; )

I've done alot of ordering from them over the years. With very very few problems. And those were always taken care of very easily, with 1 phone call. And if your trying to figure something out about a product and the person answering the phone can't answer it. They'll transfer you to a tech person, to see if they can help.

They've got to be selling the Cr*p out of those Coral Life lights. The one I just ordered for my moms 55g tues. should be here tomarrow. That makes 2- 48" and 1 - 36" fixture to this house in a month. They're almost always on back order.

My order Tues. morning(when I saw the 48" In Stock) was over $200. That included 3 - 25lb bags of gravel. And was only $19.99 Shipping. :)
From the looks of the tracking. Everything but the gravel should be here today or tomarrow. And the gravel might be tues.
I just thought about the Nitrate Test kit. That could be one of the slow deliveries. My last order with test kits in it had to go ground, and took a few days to get here.

Oh great! Now I have a 36" light, 2 heaters, and some Greenies coming. Thanks. LOL
