OMG!!! Whose babies r these?! What do I feed them?!!

My bad. I was originally noting that fry tend to take care of themselves pretty well FME.

Net...plastic bag...freezer euthanasia....trash

Perhaps I misunderstood the poster - I thought since the original poster asked about food, they were looking to raise the fry.

Yes, I was trying / kinda hoping that a couple or so might survive. I just want to increase their chances, but can't catch them.

Planted, but not quite heavily, hopefully when everything has grown in it will qualify for that lol. Maybe moderately planted can be claimed.

After posting last time I saw another fry nearly half an inch, it looked almost the same as the other little ones I'd seen but it didn't have spots, almost completely clear except near the head it's kinda creamy on the inside. It was cleaning the pottery like the otos do.

I'm starting to think I might have oto and (bronze) cory fry (yay!)
(Been trying to find pics and stuff. Unfortunately the pics look pretty much the same for both, lol!)

I guess maybe changing the substrate and nearly all the water (and maybe not having a heater anymore?) may have contributed to the sudden spawning (and maybe the rise in pH and alkilinity?)?

I wish I had a bigger tank! But I'd have to get rid of my bed.... heeheehee!

Just when I thought they might have all been eaten (or were hiding in the plants..) I saw one this morning, one of the little spotted ones, looked all fat and happy! I guess they are finding something to eat (just want to make sure it's enough). :)

Would the bronze cory fry have spots?
(Oh and I found the receipt for I guess what would have to be the male cory, 10/26, so these eggs must 'sprout' fast!)

Thanks! :)

I saw a fat happy one so they seem to be, I just want to make sure they can (maybe they'd been eating what I'd been feeding, or finding their own.. I don't know, who does? lol)

if you bought a huge wad of java moss theyd have a bigger chance to survive. i have to killifish fry i didnt even know i had, but the java moss saved them :)

there's moss everywhere :) I can't keep it where it's suppose to be lol

a bunch of hornwort in there too

I got a little terra cotta pot from home depot for 99 cents, buried it in the sand, stuck my java moss in that once it starts growing good you can position it so you can't even see the pot anymore. Between that and about 8 bunches of foxtail bunched together in the corner about 7 platy fry managed to survive that I didn't want to.

My Oto's were spawning last week but I think all the eggs got eaten :( I had no place to move them my fry tank had clown fry in it.

Well then, with all that moss you should be more then fine!

I think I saw 3 last night, their growing so fast! Their nearly half an inch! I don't think they can be more than 2 weeks old, the platy fry aren't even that big, and their like 2 months or something, goodness! :)

When do you think I'll be able to tell if they are otos or cories? lol

I need 2 more cories, but if I already have them .... maybe the other 2 will be ok by themselfs till the babies have grown? (grown big enough to be noticed, they just ignore them now, I saw the fry wriggle right under the cories and they older ones just sat there lol! )

I had just added an albino of the same type, but he/she died. Took 2 days to find the body ugh poor baby. :(
