One side of face on acei looking white ear eye and mouth.

Should i put that fish in another tank that i've had 0 problems for a while. It would have 2 stay in net though as its more aggressive than rest in that particullar tank.

ok :

1. you really do need the test kit now, because it seems your tap has ammonia. That will need you to add something like Seachem Prime here is a link http://www.seachem.com/products/product_pages/Prime.html, but get that test kit like tomorrow, and confirm your readings. get the Prime even quicker as otherwise your tapwater is poisoning your fish.

2. when treating with pimafix I must say that I generally do the water changes even more frequently and just redose - the clean water is as if not more important when you are lucky enough to have caught something early.

I would not add a sick fish to a healthy tank

On the fish i mentioned earler that died (the kenyi), i knew that one had a fungus a day before it died it besides the mouth looking krusty, it had what looked like a tiny string hangin from its body. Just remembered.

hmmmm...tiny strings can be lots of things...do an image search on google for external parasites see what you think.

sure it couldn't have been white stringy poop ?

thought it was hangin from side, maybe though. Can a fish heal from ammonia burn? I'll check for other posts later, gotta go. Thanks coler for being helpful while not being harsh, thanks.

no prob at all - that is the whole idea :)

yep they can heal from ammonia burn - generally its confined to very high concentrations, and the best treatment comes out of your tap.

more frequently however exposure to ammonia over prolonged periods causes general illness to manifest itself that the fish would otherwise not have contracted...could be fungus on one fish, bacterial infection in another, fin rot in another. that's why prevention is better than cure, because otherwise you end up trying to fight a whole load of problems, and you will be stressed and unhappy, which is the opposite of how you should be when you are lucky enough to keep fish :)
