oscar dislocated jaw need help!

I don't know if there is anything you can do about this...is he still eating? If it's dislocated, maybe giving him something large and hard (large pellets? don't know how big he is..) would pop it back into place? If it's broken, I would think bones have started to heal and the damage is now cosmetic and adds "character". As long as he is still eating, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

thanks guys.
a guy on another forum told me to pop his jaw back by netting him out and squeezing both of his jaws with my hand. he said that he did this on two of his fish and succeeded both times.
anyone ever heard of his

theoretically, it is possible. I personally wouldnt feel confident enough doing it, but as long as you don't go yanking and wrenching, he shouldnt come out looking like this: :jaw:

haha
it's just that i don't want to make it worse.

do you think your fish would stop running into the wall if he could see the walls? clean your tank and maybe he'll know where he is in relation to the tank.

... walls are made of glass.. they can't really see them anyway. regardless of the algea.

however, algea will suck out all the oxygen from the water, so make sure there's enough that the oscar can have some too.

anyways, i'm axious to see the healing!

Wow it looks like your in the tank!

I would think it will just line back up or he will adapt like out in the wild!
