Hello everyone I have an age old question. I was hoping for some feed back plz. I have 2 large oscars(1 is about 10" the other is just shy of 12") with 2 very large plecos (both are about 11" but are the fatest i've ever seen)in a 55g long tank. Now everyone tells me this is impossible but they are all very VERY happy. the water is always crystal clear(due to the intense upkeeping) which i have no problem with. But anyways i just recently purchased a 180gallon flat back octagon tank (72X24X30 i know it works out to be 224G but the 2 front corners are angled)
and i was hoping to get maybe 1 or 2 more tank mates.
I have heard of people keeping everything from catfish to paranahs with oscars but i would like some personal feedback. I know it seems like the 180g tank is all that is good for 2 oscars and 2 plecos but i maintain my fish tank with utmost pride. I have not setup the 180g yet because i want to intruduce all of the fish at the same time so there are no territorial problems. I would also like to setup my 55g(after i move my oscars to their new home they are going to be soooooo happy) with smaller freshwater fish and was hoping to get some general ideas of what i could put in there. I really like schooling fish i want to put 2 or 3 schools in my 55g but have never worked with smaller fish like that so i am hoping for some feedback on what kind of schooling fish are compatble and how many per school if i can put more than 1 school together aswell. I am looking forward to your input whether it be negative or positve
Thank-you in advanced for taking the time
