is it okay if i keep an oscar or two with my blue gourami and cherry barb and my 2 plecos in my 20 gallon tank.

no, it will overstock you EVEN more...Oscars get to be approx 16"..what kiind of plecos do you have and what are the sizes of all your fish in there?

1 oscar fully grown would need ATLEAST a 55 gal if not a 75 gal and for 2 I'd say 90+ sooooo... no, you can't.

one pleco is a gibicepps and is nearly 8 inches and the other one is a chocolate chip i believe and is around 5 inches. the gourami is 2 inches and the one cherry barb is an inch.

could i just put a small one in like an inch long that i seen at the pet store today. would it get along with the rest?

ok, so you have a great strain on your bioload and those fish are wayyyy too big for a 20g. Are you upgrading to a bigger tank anytime soon? My suggestion is to either upgrade or restock because if not, you will stunt the growth of most of those fish and they will not last long. Barbs are schooling fish and would much rather prefer to be in groups of 5+...but I wouldn't do it with that size tank.

even in a tank as large as a 125 that would not work. barbs and gouramis can not go with oscars!!!!

Don't you think that the fish will grow? Sub said they get 16" that doesn't exclude the cute little one at the lfs! :p:
