Yo guys, sorry if I ask too many questions, but how would you properly use the novus polish to remove scratches? How many of you guys use this and how successful was it? Can it be used inside the tank as well? Would you apply and polish while your fish is below water level and you work above water level(not too close)?I have this super haziness on the front foggy scratch I need to remove;the scratch location is upper top (i can just remove water to 60 percent and work my way on the top scratch?will this work?

Always good to ask questions. There's no harm in not knowing, the harm is in not finding out!! Most haze on acrylic surfaces is generally from cleaning w/ the wrong stuff (eg. windex). It can usually be reversed. Scratches, depending on how severe can also be removed w/ a combonation of #2 & or #3 plus elbow grease. A low speed buffer can assist but be careful. (1000 rpm or less) As for inside damage, the MSDS lists several chemicals that could be fatal. I would not chance cleaning w/ fish in the tank. Empty the tank, clean & rinse thoughly, then refill is the safest way to go. Depending on how abused the surface is, it might take some work but the end result will be worth it. The directions are pretty plain but if you need

I was told not to use the Novus inside the tank, unless you let it sit for awhile afterwards and rinse it real well. I borrowed my brothers orbital car polisher to do my tank. Worked decent, but still had to sand some deep ones out.
