Overstocked?

honestly i don't see why it should be locked either, i mean it would be a great example to those people who may be doing/thinking about doing the same exact thing. to have an even better affect of making sure this doesn't happen is going into detail as to why you shouldn't do this. yes we are quite sure those fish aren't happy and that those powerful filters don't mean anything when stocking levels are that high, but let's give reasons, and explanations to make sure people aren't just receiving the message "that's wrong, don't do it" instead of "many reasons you should not do this would be......" just my 5 dollars worth

I agree with Needles, I don't think locking it is sucha a great idea. We know it is overstocked and we know there isn't enough filtration in the world that can save the tank or bowl, nor is changing the water once a month. I think it's a great example opf the "what not to do" and to see people's reactions to it.

And that is exactly why it was posted... That's why I used the
There are obviously people in this world who think this sort of thing is OK. I do not. People here do not.

I have been trying to figure out how it is inflammatory.... If I had suggested that everyone go join that board and be disruptive, which I MOST CERTAINLY AM NOT suggesting, I could see it as being inflammatory.

Personally, I'm baffled as to how the fish survive, and more so that it was done in the first place, and that others seem to think it is a good idea too.

Yeah bud, I have mixed feelings on this, but if people can be mature about things there wont be any problems. Considering moderators are also participating members of the board, there are 4 people who want to keep it open, 5 if you count the OP ;) Mabey the mods can have more than half an hour(from dixons first post) to discuss what should be done?

If you read even part of the thread where this came from, they do not even tell this poster that this is nothing more than plain cruel! I just don't get how someone could think this is O.K even if they are clueless.

well what ever floats your boat. I just think that you cant learn nothing from this because you wouldnt be here if you didnt care for your fish(although saying that i can think of one or two ;) in the past)

well i see ya piont and its not up to me so hey.:)

Can we please stay on topic and discuss the issue at hand, we do not need a discussion on why or why not this thread should be deleted.

Those of you who think this is OK, please say why.

Those of you who do not, again, please say why.

Let's just keep it clean.

If you guys think that tank is bad, look at the guys gallery page.

Some people should not be allowed to walk around, let alone keep fish!

I beleive that Dan has found a site that is the complete opposite of this one!

i don't think it's necessary to lock every post that we may disagree with. if an intelligent discussion on the pros's and con's of such a set up ensues, that's a good thing. while we may disagree with such overcrowding, there's always something to be learned from the discussion that follows.

my thoughts exactly.
if eveyone stays on topic and states there opinion good or bad (dont think there will be many good ones) it should stay open.
if it gets outa line then any mods please close it asap.
sorry i am at work at the moment and wont be logged back on for quite a few hours so this is a quicky.
