Learning From Mistakes

I went ahead and picked up the Deskboy for my birthday [which is actually tomorrow]

My first 2nd tank (lol)
Now that have a bit of knowledge under my belt I'm setting this one up a bit differently and I am also cycling this one fishless, It is seeded from my first tank's filter. I had been running them together for a while.

But I also picked up some "bacteria" from the shop. Its most likely snake oil though.

There are two types, 1) like in the picture above, and 2) a sealed vinyl bag with a bunch of green liquid in it. I got the 2nd type and dumped it in. If its active, which I doubt, it says the water will be ready in a day. If not, doesn't matter because I'm taking my time...

I also wanted to say your tanks are beautiful. I'm sorry I went with the fake plants now, yours look so serene and just lovely. Good luck to you in the future!
