Paint Shop Pro

I agree, awesome closeup to that face and blue eye!

What camera are you using? Snapshot or DLSR? There is a bunch of stuff you can do to get a really nice effect during the picture taking process if you have a DSLR. Basically, you wouldn't have to waste your time blurring the background in the program. So far so good though! It's hard to learn those programs by yourself without getting frustrated.

I'm taking my last photo class (Graphic Design Major) and the prof has us use Aperature (Mac program) for color editing. I thought I would hate it at first but it's actually really neat and easy to edit the color. Then you export it as a TIFF and start photo shopping the image.

I use a Point & Hope camera :headbang2: :dance2:

It is an Olympus Advanced Compact SP-350 (8.0 megapixel).

Would love to get a DSLR and would love to learn how to use it. If I stopped buying fish, maybe I could afford the camera :wall:

I am having fun with PSP though.

I will say, my motive for using PSP on the background ins't to get a blur, it is to change the color of the background because my gold heads are the same color as my boulders and they get lost in the photo. I enjoy the popping effect. The blur is just an added bonus.

Your major sounds really cool. Seems like you are enjoying it. Congrats :)

Here's a couple more that I did a week or so ago that I liked how they turned out. Guess I forgot to post them...

For a point & hope camera, I am pretty happy with it.

They are great shots man, don't get me wrong. I didn't think a DSLR would be much more fun that my SLR but wow, I REALLY love my camera. It makes a HUGE difference, that is once you get away from auto mode.

Nice job....perhaps I cut out my photo...I have photoshop :)

May I ask perhaps a dumb question? I don't have photoshop or any other software of that type but I have thought about getting one. I would like to ask how do you take an image from a picture (only the wanted image like you have with the fish) and then be able to place it into another picture with out it looking like it was cut and pasted with show & tell lines. As I said perhaps this is a dumb question. Thanks

There are several ways to do this, but my favorite way is essentially selected what you want my coloring it over. You can get really nice results! :) Did you have anything you wanted done?
