Paint Shop Pro

May I ask perhaps a dumb question? I don't have photoshop or any other software of that type but I have thought about getting one. I would like to ask how do you take an image from a picture (only the wanted image like you have with the fish) and then be able to place it into another picture with out it looking like it was cut and pasted with show & tell lines. As I said perhaps this is a dumb question. Thanks
Easiest way is to make a slightly feathered selection (maybe 3-5 pixels) of the image you want, copy and paste it onto the other picture, then add noise to the whole image.

There are several ways to do this, but my favorite way is essentially selected what you want my coloring it over. You can get really nice results! :) Did you have anything you wanted done?

I don't have anything at the moment but have wanted to do things before and still think of things to do occasionally. As I had mentioned, I see these programs but as with anything else a person could get confused at what to buy and also what to get and not over buy for what you need.
As with the fish pictures that look like the fish is swimming past the black / gray rocks and the lines on the fish are perfect.

There are several ways to accomplish what you want to do. One way is too make the background transparent and with the margic wand, cut away everything except the fish (make sure you use feathering). Then, you can paste the fish anywhere and since the background is transparent, you will see whatever is behind it (including the blue space in this forum).

Also, I added a drop shadow to this image.

nope. i just have adobe photoshop, and i have no idea how to use it. im not very good though. i need a mouse though, cuz my hand is alot steadier than my finger.

thanks, just got a chance to pop back in here. I will need to look more into these programs. Is there one that is more user friendly than others?

You are gonna get a lot of different answers. I am partial to Paint Shop Pro as that is what I have learned on. It is a good program with a lot of capability for a decent price.

Hey Austin, I got confused with how you were doing it. I use a mouse.

Check the web for some tutorials - that's how I learned to "pop" in PSP. They actually had a tutorial for that and even for my old moldy version of PSP. Should be lots of tutorials out there (I know there are for PSP,... there is a users group that posts many tutorials).
