Parachromis sp. Yellow Head La Ceiba

Well as long as your not clearing your filter media I guess the bacteria is still there.

Well see on my 135 what I do is let the water run to where the filters no long have any water to suck up (2 Aquaclear 110) let the intake tube clear of water then unplug the filters. I drain the tank making sure to get the poop out as well from everywhere on driftwood inside driftwood under rocks. Then I let the the tanks drain drain drain after I get my hose let it run for awhile to allow the warmer water to come out and any pollutants in the hose to drain as well. Then I put the hose into the tank after adding the proper amount of prime of course. I fill the tank all the way up remove the hose and put the lids and light back on and then turn the filters on and boom im done.

WC's are smaller when I got to clean the filters though. maybe 50% MAX

Hmm see now in my breeding tanks I'll do once a day changes of 20% with cooler water it's always been a habit of mine. In the rest of my tanks that aren't housing fry or young ones, I do a water change every other day of about 40-50% I don't ever put primer or any of that in just because I simply live on a well system, my ph is at 6.5 and every fish I've ever kept has thrived in it.

Yeah I'm sure with cail you would.

Hahahaha one thing I like about the country. Besides it being extremely quite. Just me, the woods, and fish

I wouldnt mind being in the country. I think I would have to get use to the quiet though since Ive always been around noise. When ever it gets quiet here I tend to get nervous and on the look out like something bad is about to happen.

Hahahahahahahhahaha!! When ever it gets noisey out here it something bads going down! Lmaooooo
