Patch users beware...

Oh boy. This opened a can of worms didn't it? From what I understand, yes the bcp prevents ovulation thus preventing conception. I think depo, the minipill and the new progesterone-containing IUD also prevent ovulation as well as implantation and also make the cervix hard to penetrate by the sperm. Just so we're clear. (I think.) My main concern is that I'm breastfeeding so my choices are limited. My hubby's supposed to be getting a vasectomy (what a nice hubby) but we have to use something in the mean time.

And if Miss Lakita's methods were successful, we wouldn't be seeing very high high-school birth rates and drop out levels, especially in many southern states where abstinence is the only thing taught.

I don't think this thread is going to go anywhere productive lol.

me niether........lots of minds, lots of thoughts and ideas.....we all try to do the best we can I think......and I guess I've said all I want to say on the subject.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.....I disagree with some of what some of you have shared....and I know that some of my thoughts seem silly and outdated to some of you....I'm just glad to be living in a culture where folks are allowed to think differently and make thier own choices, whatever they happen to be.

All the best to you ladies ! I think I want to go talk about fish now !

..and here I was expecting a bug report on a software patch, like a Windows service pack or something.

My take on this entire subject is simple. Guys, keep it out of someone you don't want a baby with. Girls, keep your legs closed for someone you don't want a baby with. Simple, and not prone to failure. Married is best, being committed is esential..

FlyFly.....
