Loving the new tank lay out! Looks really good. RE: the not wanting to eat right now- they'll be ok! They very well might be eating when you're not around, if they can find something. I wouldn't turkey baster out the left overs right now- goldies love to search for food. Let them find it on their own, and eat when they feel like it. I agree with Anne that all of this is super new to them, and they very well may be too caught up in exploring and acclimating, not to mention recovering form their trip (jet lag is rough!) to really have an interest in food at the moment. NEITHER of them are even close to being in danger of being malnourished. They also aren't used to YOU yet, being the source for food. No clamped fins, good activity, alert, exploring, and acting happy= healthy fish. If they were bottom sitting with clamped fins, lethargic, and hiding in a dark corner, and not responding to things- then it would be something to be concerned about. Those guys look just fine, though. Just give them a little time to adjust, and I'm sure they'll be eating in no time! Since they ate mostly veggies before, it will take them a little bit to realize what the other food is- but they DEFINITELY will, and then they will DEFINITELY scarf it down. Just give it time. Try some peas after work, and see how that goes... otherwise, just let them relax, get used to their new home and family, and they'll eat when they're hungry. If they do est the peas- don't over do it in a panic and give them to them every day to make sure they eat "something"- you want them to get used to their new food. Some of my goldies didn't eat pellets for a few days when they came home, because they were used to only flakes, and didn't know the pellets were food. Then it took some of them a day or 2 to adjust to the gel food- after they get used to it, they never skip a meal! They're going to be ok.
