This is day 16 of 2tsp salt/g at 84F with 2-3 WC in between and salt replaced after each WC. I initially thought the cysts fell off (only 1 fish is infected) but I've noticed they're still there and there are a few more. They are not solid white but look exactly like grains of salt, translucent and same size as salt. They are only on the tail and now the anal fin; none on the body.
If this is some other kind of external parasite, wouldn't the salt treatment be just as effective ? Should I just give in and use Parasite Clear?
Infected fish is active, eating well, looks great otherwise. He's in there with 8 little tetras that I thought might benefit from a salty tank too -- one of those had light colored spots on the tail that have since disappeared.
