Ohhh, I got a good one. . . .
It's bad enough that nowadays you call any large corporation and you never speak to an actual human being; instead, you're stuck having to push buttons which transfers you from department to department, and it takes an hour before you're actually speaking to the person that can hopefully help you out.
Now, to add to that already truly annoying task, there are some companies that FORCE you to talk about your problem to a machine, which hopefully interprets what you have to say, and sends you to the right department.
It drives me up a wall, and I refuse to do so.. . . But you have no choice, so there you are, in front of your phone, talking to a machine, which completely misunderstands a simple command like "My cell phone was cut off", and responds to you like he gives a hoot, saying he didn't understand, and if I would be so kind as to repeat my question. . . . "you can say things like "home phone", or "troubleshooting"... !!!!! Drives me nuts!
I can't wait till my cellular service ends so I never have to deal with this again!!!
First question I'll ask when I get a new phone won't be about the phone, the reception, features, or the price... it'll simply be, "do you have an automated make-believe person on the other end of the phone that I'll have to deal with when I call you with my phone problems?"
and that answer alone will decide whether or not I'll be going with that company . . . .
Ahhh, that felt pretty good. .
