Global warming is also happening on Mars. So, now everyone can blame most of it on the Sun. It's true and has been proven. Check out SOHO.
It has also been proven that roughly 1/3 of earth's warming can be attributed to the sun. We do know full well that the earth experiences great temperature changes throughout its history. Its just the rate of this happening that is the worry. Mars apparently is not warming anywhere near as fast as the earth is.

1/3 ?? That much? Check the data on Mars. It is farther away from the Sun, therefore, slower changes. But it is happenng there too!!

SOHO recorded another Sun "blast" recently that helped produce the tropical storm 'Adrian. This storm formed sooner than expected and is due to the Sun ""acting up"" ... ' (solar flare activity beyond the norm)

I would guess that Mars would be a little less protected than the Earth as it doesn't have much of an atmosphere to protect it. I haven't looked anything up on that just assuming that may be the case. You got some interesting links to rwad about that stuff Joe?

As the saying goes... " I've got some land in Florida to sell you!.. "

"Scientists say global warming could drive the average global temperature up by 1.4-5.8 Celsius (2.5-10.5 Fahrenheit) over the next 100 years, which would cause glaciers to retreat and oceans to rise and swamp low-lying areas around the world."

YES.

This is only a few links, and I have others, but I'm in a hurry at this moment..

"I'm not particularly worried about the flooding of Florida retirement communities. The retirees can all move onto cruise ships. The Love Boat TV show could be resurrected with spin-offs that are hybrids with Law And Order TV shows set on different ships. Instead CSI: Miami and CSI: Las Vegas there could be CSI: Norwegian Valkyrie and CSI: Princess Casino." :D
