I know I seem like such a nerd, but we don't get much variation in my area as far as fish go, and I always get very excited when a store switches up its inventory. I got ahold of a list of this next batch of PetSmart's manager's choice fish (meaning they are only available temporarily), as well as the fish most PetSmarts will be permanently carrying from next week (or so) on.. I also have prices, if anyone wants them. The names listed are PetSmart terms, so they could very well go by a whole different name in actuality.

Manager's Choice
MD Red Cap Oranda (big deal)
Jacobfreibergi Peacock Cichlid
Tri-Spotted Cichlid (Three Spot Cichlid?)
Siamese Algae Eater (finally!)
Horseface Loach
Three-Spot Paraguay Tetra
Blushing Hifin Gold Skirt Tetra

In line
Plumetail Platy
White Micky Mouse Platy
Japanese Algae Eating Shrimp (Amano Shrimp)
Espei Rasbora
Giant Gourami

Where is this at? All stores or just your area? 3 of the stores closest to me have no fish right now as they are upgrading their entire filtration system, so maybe they will have some different fish when they re open their fish section.

We're supposed to be carrying the rasboras, white mickey mouses, and trip spot soon (they just showed up on our signs) but so far haven't gotten them. I can't wait to see rasboras since everyone here talks about them all the time!
aw..my store doesn't have managers choice :( then again...she would make it all cichlids lol

Are they going to be carrying any different cichlids than the ones they already have...we got a venustus in our 80 now....:)

I really doubt petsmart is going to be carrying pure Trimacs, but one can hope.

To my understanding, most PetSmarts should be receiving the same opportunity fish at the same time.

I love that a place that will sell what ever to who ever with no regard actually carries fish that get bigger then most people can handle.
I saw a giant gourami that was at least 18".
And good luck with those Siamese algae eaters actually being Crossocheilus siamensis.

tisk tisk...so distrustful. The fine people @ the giant pet chains love all animals and would never talk someone into an unsuitable fish. heh heh.

You're right, we all hate them :P
Maybe the higher up's don't know/care about them, but at least I love all my fish store, so much I keep taking them home...argh no space! lol
Someone finally bought "my" baby, a 8" Red Oscar with such a huge personality. Now he has a nice 75G to himself until the owner decides to go all out on a 125. Sooo happy for that fish, the guy was really nice.
