I love this yellow girl(?) too.

I just added some Rams to my new 46 gallon tank today. They're my dream fish and the reason I started keeping fish in the first place. Today was the day I finally got to bring some home! :)

I'll try to get some good pics of them and post them asap!

Some Pics of My 55

Here are a few pics of my tank. The whole setup was given to me, all I've done is add some more fish and live pants. (And do water changes, test bi-daily, feed twice a day, added a 10g hospital underneath, change filters, and basically sink money!) Might not look as great as some on here, but, the price was right to get me back into aquariums again. (Even though FREE has snowballed into at least $250 by now!) I love my Ciclids and JD. Next project is to get better lighting to support some more plants.

Also, could someone identify "Big Fish" for me? :OT:

your big fish is a severum cichlid, looks to be a green severum. The "gar" is a hujeta characin..I have 5 in a 55g, the yellow fish is some sort of african cichlid, and the other cichlid is a kribensis.

Thanks

I thought that's what is was, but the way they change colors kind of threw me off. I have 2 that came with the tank. One is about 5" and the other about 4". The one in the picture was about as white as the Kissing fish when I brought it home, and often they are both black and white striped. The smaller one is usually the green/slightly striped color, and the larger one is usually black/white striped or almost totally black or a very dark green. Very cool fish! Also very docile for their size compared to the other occupants, but will inhale neon tetras, feeder gf, ghost shrimp, or anything that size.
