This is my first ever Betta, bought today, called Jimmy Kane
Wanted to share him with you, so excited about him, it's untrue!

Try as I might, I still stink at taking pictures of anything in an aquarium. Here's the best attempt:
This is my tank i just re-landscaped today. Its a 55 gallon with a penguin 330. The lower left hand corner i made a little mock lake with blue substrate, with white substrate beach. then I made a big hill, with a cave below it then added some light brown substrate for an earthy feel. I'm sorry but i cant remember all the names of the plants ( the scientific names are too hard to remember, and I'm allready bad at names) I've got 2 dwarf gouramis, 3 congo tetra's, 2 butterfly rams, 2 angelfish, and 4-3line cories.

Tyvm it was hard work, and allot more money then i really should have spent. But oh well.

Are you certain that the specimen in question is S. nigriventris?

It's a "humphead glassfish", Parambassis pulcinella (see http://www.practicalfishkeeping.co.uk/pfk/pages/show_article.php?article_id=121).
