I just thought that I would share some pictures I took yesterday of our rose hair tarantula molting. The sad part is that we found out that now he is mature. He probably won't live though another molt. We know that he is mature because they get these hooks on their two front legs when they mature. This is for mating purposes. The first one is him on his back. They really do look dead. The second and third he is half way out of his molt. The last one is when he finished molting. This is the first time I got to see it molt. Usually I just see the tarantula after it is all said and done.
