try lows for the sockets. i Tried home depot first but did not carry that type.

Oh ok. I'm making a hood for a 75g tank, so would I need to change anything to make this work? Like would I need a higher Kelvin rating? Or higher wattage? It is not a planted tank by the way.

If your making your own hood I would think about getting some T5 or T8 lighting, Just in case you ever do decide to plant it in the future. What are the dimensions of the tank?

no higher k rating needed. just depends try you will prob want 3-4 bulbs for a even spreed over the tank.

Is it just me or are the two bulbs different sizes? Both 19w?

So you would recomend a 6700k rating? And would I need 4 sockets since I'm getting 4 bulbs? Can I buy new wires at Lowes or Home Depot?
