JasonSkillz, Your image is photoshopped, The Gourami pictured should not be that large I have shown this picture to several LFS by me and they say that if it's a true giant gourami it would look much like
It's also possible that you have a painted varity of gourami, Either way, if your keeping it it will Require several things, 200G minimum tank, almost perfect water conditions and lot's of food. I dont wish to sound rude but I am honestly tired of hearing of your gourami, I do not think it's real nor do I think anyone other then a professional could keep it alive this long nor take a decent picture of it, that being said. everyone that made images, they are truely funny and I got a good laugh out of them, I will try to come up with a Creation of my own and post it.
All the real giant gouramis ive seen dosnt look soo CUTE, looks more like they will attack you. The one at my LFS is about 2ft long and when ever i put my finger on the glass, it opens its mouth and starts shakeing like its trying to warn me off.
like you said they are tempermental and possibly one of the worst fish (if possible) anyone without a professional Setup can have in their home, I dont eaven think your Jebo stuff you keep pushing can handle anything that fish can put out, IMHO I Would let someone with the right equipment and the right experience have that fish, possibly an aquarium nearby so you can visit it, I would not keep it in my own home, pretty as it may be It's not somthing to be taken lightly.
NORTHSTAR- Great pic...That is exactly how I remember the ugly little buggers lol..Big old fleshy looking things..."Pretty" is not a word I would use to describe them.
