Looks great but I agree that a rock or some driftwood on the left and a background would finish it off nicely.

There is no hood, just two f17t8/65k bulbs in wal-mart fixtures and two mirror tiles on top.

I haven't decided yet what I'm going to do for hardscaping. I will definitely add some stem plants to the left side though. I think it will really start going when I inject co2.

Wow that looks really good.I just started mine and im going wih co2 injection I,m new to that so I hope it goes as good as yours is...
 
Just wanted to give an updated picture of my tank. In my opinion, it has really grown in nicely.

I wish I had a better camera, this picture doesn't really do it justice.

Currently using 5.1 wpg, diy co2 with a glass diffuser and no added fertilizer.

what did you say the ground cover plant in the front was? Is that what I hear referred to as HC?
 
cool tank and set up, but as stated b4 hardwear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!but great any ways
