Pictures of the flooding in my little area- load warning

Just 10 miles away from where I live here in MD they evacuated the town of Port Deposit. Fortunately I live at a higher elevation. I hope you didn't have any damage to your home and things straight out for you soon as well. We just got hit with another massive thunder storm and down pour too. Wishing you the best but I would have to guess your girls aren't hoping for school tomorrow, lol.

PS. I have put my boat in at that ramp before, Mt. Wolf.

I saw that the Bloomberg area was having some bad flooding, isn't that where Bio's parents are? I hope they are OK, and Bio, is she OK? Dangerdoll! I forgot... she's in PA, too, right? I hope you are all safe and don't have serious losses from all this.

Rach, have you lost equipment in your flooded basement/fish room? How high has the water gotten down there?

I lost all my backup equipment including a linear pump, all my power filters, canister filters, and travel "gear". Nothing that I need every day. I had it in a bin, but the bin was cracked so it all go totally water logged. Otherwise, just sentimental things were damaged. Luckily most things were off the floor. I know anna is fine. DD is in NJ. I am not sure about Anna's parents, but I know Knoeble's (the local theme park up in that area) was totally thrashed.

I hear port deposit got slammed and evacuated. I remember that happening a few times there as I was a kid growing up.

Power filters and canister filters have epoxy sealed motors. They can be totally submerged without issue. All you have to do is clean them up a bit. The Air pump does not though and it's probably a loss.

I'm not in PA, mel, I only get lost there :) however, I am in Union County, NJ and we did have our share of water devastation from Hurricane Irene.... like PA, lots of people were completely under, lots of homes are lost, some homes have collapsed..... it's very sad indeed.

ugh, that is just awful! And to think, I was probably lost on most of them roads, Jinkz... glad to see though that you made it out for the most part ok.... so sad that you did lose personal things though.

The pumps that were damaged were taken apart, unfortunately. I dont know why I did it but I thought they would be safe in a bin. Unfortunately, my bins was cracked. I am letting stuff dry to see, but nothign is working as of now, lol. Yay me. About $2000 in equipment. oof!

We still have 20 neighborhoods here where school buses cnnot pick up kids. They are saying 2-3 months to reopen many roads and bridges. I got lucky

oof that sucks. Well maybe after drying they will be salvageable.

I thought when I moved from Lancaster to Milwaukee the weather (snow, tornadoes, and such) would be much worse. But apparently I lucked out!
