Bonita, Ca
are there any piranahs that can be kept in a 29 gal and are LEGAL in california?

could the red bellied piranah survive in a 29 gal?

I believe they as well as most will get too big

They could survive for a short time; then they will die.

A Whipple Piranha would fit in a 29gal.

a whipple piranha huh? is it legal in cali?

what about the Serrasalmus Species? i heard that they grow quite slowly so i could keep one in my tank for a whlie before i had to upgrade. is this true?

AquariumNobb, I will clarify this for you. Piranhas are part of the Serrasalmidae genus. You cannot keep them in a small tank. As these are best kept in groups, do you think a 29g can hold a group?;)
