Pistol Shrimp---- SOOOO cool!

Does it actually make that cockback and shot noise?... im gonna get laughed at for asking this i bet
 
so i guess keeping pistol shrimp with other shrimp would be a bad idea. So they are not reef safe or FOWLR either so i guess they are stuck with a goby buddy only?
 
I broke down my reef a couple of months ago for economic reasons, but the last critter I removed was a Bullseye Pistol Shrimp, Alpheus soror. It's a free living type that doesn't host with a fish, and it killed other shrimp like a fat kid kills chocolate cake! I don't have a pic but Google the name. This species makes most of the others look like turds.
