svtcontour said:Labont865. We're talking about dogs and you're talking about cougars and bears... and let me put it this way. IF COUGARS AND BEARS COULD BE KEPT AS PETS AND WALKED ON THE STREET, I'D WANT THEM BANNED AS WELL. Does that make it clear how I feelSince you brought up the situation..rediculous situation might I add.
How much more clear does it have to be. Pitbulls have been bred by people as fighting dogs. On purpose, they have been bred to be aggressive, not give up (because they are fighting dogs) and to have a higher threshold of pain so they can continue their fighting. This means that IF and WHEN something triggers them to fight, they are more likely to cause damage because they are more likely to continue. Seems very basic to me.
Again your lack of knowledge of the species and lack of ability to read what we have written is staggering. Pit Bulls were bred as working dogs and farm tools and later bad breeder and owners began to breed them to be aggressive towards other dogs NOT humans. Is this so hard to understand?
Your right it is rediculous situation but its no more rediculous than how blinded your are about the topic we are discussing and you lack of simple common sence and reasoning on the matter. Banning is not the way to go plain and simple. We simply need licensing laws to prevent poor breeding and bad owners from getting hteir hand on any animal that has this sort of ability.
