Hey guys/gals.

I just want to show you all this video. You watch this video and tell me who the real monsters are. The Dogs or their owner who do this to them? I have a pit bull as many of you know and may be coming into quite a few more in the near future. And there are still talks of B.C. following in Ontarios footsteps and banning them. I for one dont agree with this as their reasons are purely that they attack and injuure too many people every year. The statistics in this video clearly prove that wrong.

Warning this video is not for kids. Graphic material

Aww that makes me so sad.
I have never had any issues with pit bulls, and I know better than to think the breed is vicious. The fact that Ontario banned pit bulls really makes me PO'd.
I live in BC, and if they do ban them here, then that's ridiculous.
Thanks for the link. I'll definitely be passing it along.

It would be better without the sound track.

Yeah, but they used the sound track for its lyrics. "Why are you afraid of me" or something like that.

I had the pleasure of dog sitting a friends two pitbulls years ago - they were sweet, playful and great looking, powerful animals. As the video showed, and as common sense tells us, its how you treat the animal that will affect its behavior. As stated in the video, only when we learn to respect all living things will we find peace in how we deal with each other. This holds true for all animals that we keep as pets, who depend upon us for love, respect and proper care.

Pits have taked a bad rap. I used to raise them myself and only had one female who would act agressively toward strangers, cause she had been trained to do so by a previous owner. The Carver blood in her pedigree was worth the extra effort to keep her secured though, and never any incidents with her. The rest of them were as docile as could be.

I didn't look..I am a wimp, but I have wanted to tell you that you have a beautiful dog.
I have have had boxers for years, and currently have a male, Duke and female Chloe. People mix them up, and will come up and ask if they are pit bulls.

labont, that was excellent! I used to have one myself and he was a great boy, full of character and very much the sweetest boy I had. This really sends a powerful message, and of course, I forwarded the link.

i used to live in california and there was a lot of dog fighting, you couldnt even give puppies away because people would feed them to their fighting dogs so they get a tast of blood. its sickening. i had a four year old cousin that was killed a while back by a couple of pitts that lived around his neiborhood. shocking because the dogs wernt fighting dogs, they were family pets. nobody really knows why the two dogs mauled the child. their really sweet dogs but some people screw them up.

When we had our first female, we bred her and had 9 pups. To this day...10 years later I still worry as to whether we placed those pups with the right people. We thought we did...but you never know. I won't do it again. :(
I had no clue how much dog fighting there is out there. Our yard is fenced, and we keep the gates padlocked. Someone was going through our area about a year ago stealing boxers. You can tell by looking that a male is fixed, but not a female. People steal them to use for bait, or to breed them. If anyone tried to get near our yard, our boy would have a fit. Our female would lick them and think she had a new friend.
