Planted 120G Tank

Thank you all for the kind comments.:thm:

Excellent work. I wish I had a plant group in my area! I'm trying like crazy to get my hands on a 6 foot tank and that would make life a LOT easier than having to wait and see what the store gets in the next town over every few weeks and ordering stuff online or from other members that has to be shipped. I LOVE the wood in your tank. Where did it come from? Local find, or purchased?

Mindcrime121: You may want to consider starting a club yourself or find a fish related club at time most members do both. I see a lot of custom order shops out of California for what it's worth some prices were comparable to larger commercial tanks shipping to NJ not so good...LOL Given a choice for a Dutch style tank I would much rather prefer a 24" depth or deeper. My tank at 60"Lx18"Wx26"H creates it's own challenges but nothing near the problems I was having with 45g or 55g at 12" deep especially with larger stems so you have to plan for plants relative to your tank.

Believe it or not my biggest problems are my low tech tanks which I hope to put some serious effort into in the next few months.

Wow! Wow! Gorgeous tank!

Jay, your tank is absolutely stunning... Thank you so much for sharing.

Please excuse the poor pic as I've been playing around with manual settings on my point&shoot digital camera. It is also a little cloudy because of disturbing SMS while replanting.

I've made small changes to the scape using the trusty compound miter saw to make to cut a few pieces of driftwood into shape. I've cut a few plants on the right side shorter than usual because I was replanting tops this go around. Luckily they are fast growers so I hope to have them visible over the driftwood by the end of the week. I'm devising a plan for the left side sense that small space was originally my grow out area. It will be due for another trim by the end of the week so I hope to do a better job at it.

Rummy Nose are schooling nicely but the Cardinals a still hiding amongst the brush :mad2: The Cardinals haven't really been trusting since moving them back into the 120. It's funny to see but the Otos and SAE start schooling from time to time at the front glass as well usually before lights out.

Thank you for the positive comments.

Cool...Driftwood always gives it a unique look. I just picked up a piece the other day...It was in saltwater. What would be the best way to clean it for my freshwater?

I know of users of driftwood who soak to sink and boil to remove possible impurities when origins of the pieces are questionable. Boiling I'm sure would be difficult base on size of course.

Perhaps you may want to post that question in its own thread to get other member responses.
