Play sand vs. Pool Fliter sand

That is kind of hard to do seeing how thats what most sand is ;)

So in that case....just pick sand according to your liking. If it feels and looks good, I wouldnt worry.
 
Yeah, most sand is based off silicon dioxide, and often called silica sand or quartz sand. Impurities in it give it different colors and such. Here is a quote from wiki:

I always thought that quartz pool filter sand wasnt silica, but infact it is basically the same thing.
